Thomas (“Tom”) McCartney graduated magna cum laude from Saint Mary’s College in 1972. He graduated with honors from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1975 where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence award in Property. Tom McCartney was also a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society and the Law Review. He served as an honors law clerk for the Hon. Ira A. Brown Jr.

Tom McCartney has successfully tried over seventy cases.  Recently, a juror wrote an unsolicited letter to Mr. McCartney.  It reads:

I had the pleasure recently of serving as a jury foreman on a case for which you were Plaintiff’s attorney, Chiou v. Blanton.

I want to take this opportunity to applaud you for the fine job you did on this case. I spent over 25 years working for lawyers in Ohio, California, Alaska, and Washington and never have I seen a case handled better. The professionalism, thoroughness and compassion you displayed on behalf of and for your client were second to none.
