A Trade Secret

A trade secret is information that has either actual or potential independent economic value by virtue of not being generally known, has value to others who cannot legitimately obtain the information, and is subject to reasonable efforts to maintain its secrecy. Often, a business has to decide between filing for a patent or protecting intellectual property as a trade secret. If you choose going the trade secret route, you will need to ensure that you have non-disclosure agreements in place with your vendors and employees.  Our attorneys are experienced in protecting trade secrets and litigating if your trade secrets have been stolen or if you have been accused of theft of trade secrets.
